Privacy Policy for „Yutimo“
Effective Date: July 23, 2026
We take the protection of your data very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains which data the app „Yutimo“ (hereinafter „App“) collects, processes, and shares. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Collected and Processed Data
2.1 Local Plan and Profile Data
Yutimo is an app for personal vacation and absence planning. You can create one or more person profiles. The following data is stored exclusively locally on your device (local database):
- Display names of profiles
- Vacation marks (full / half day), carry-over leave, annual leave, and balances
- Hours / compensatory-time marks (for planning only; not an overtime ledger)
- Optional free-text day notes
- Region (country and federal state), work weekdays, half-day mode, default workday hours
- Per-profile reminder settings and optional per-day overrides
There is no user account with the publisher and no cloud sync of your leave plans by the publisher. If you store data about other people in additional profiles, you are responsible for having the right to do so.
2.2 Display Settings
Global settings such as UI language, theme (light/dark/system), calendar colours, calendar layout, and school-holiday visibility are stored locally on the device and apply app-wide (not per profile).
2.3 Local Reminders
Optionally, the App can show local notifications for upcoming events (e.g. vacation start, hours, public holidays, school holidays — depending on your settings). This may require the system notification permission. These are local reminders only (no push server operated by the publisher). Notification text may include the profile name.
2.4 Public and School Holiday Data (OpenHolidays)
To display public holidays and school holidays, the App calls the OpenHolidays API (https://openholidaysapi.org/). Only technical parameters such as country, subdivision (federal state), date range/year, and language code are sent — not profile names, vacation marks, notes, or balances.
Network requests may create standard connection data at the third-party provider (e.g. IP address, timestamp). Fetched holiday data is cached locally on your device.
2.5 Third-Party SDK – Google AdMob and UMP
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertising and the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage consent where required (e.g. in the European Economic Area). Google may collect and process the following data:
- Device or other IDs (e.g. Advertising ID)
- Approximate location (via IP address)
- Device and app information
- App and ad interactions
- Consent / privacy status
Purpose: Advertising (AdMob), consent management (UMP), fraud prevention, and technical provision of advertising services.
This processing is carried out by Google. A consent form may appear in the App when required; Settings may offer “Privacy options (ads)” when Google requires it. Further information: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
The App does not use Firebase Analytics and does not include a separate publisher crash-reporting SDK.
2.6 Export, Sharing, and Import
On your explicit request, the App can create files and share or save them via the system:
- PDF leave plan (name, region, balances, vacation and hours lists for the selected year)
- JSON backup (profile data, settings, balances, day entries including notes)
- Calendar file (.ics) for import into apps such as Outlook or Thunderbird
The App does not automatically upload these files to the publisher’s servers. Once you share, save, or send a file to third parties, further processing is outside the App’s control. Importing a backup may replace or add to existing local data depending on the option you choose.
3. Data Transfer
Apart from the services mentioned above (OpenHolidays for holiday data, Google AdMob/UMP for advertising and consent), no leave plans, notes, or profile names are transferred to the publisher’s servers. Stored plan and profile data remains locally on your device until you export, reset, or delete it, or uninstall the App.
Depending on your device and account settings, Android may include app data in Auto Backup or device transfer.
4. Your Rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, and objection. Since most data is stored locally on your device, you can change or delete it in the App (e.g. profiles, reset) or by uninstalling the App. For data portability, you can export the JSON backup.
For rights regarding Google (e.g. advertising ID, consent), please use your Android device settings, the in-app privacy options for ads (if shown), or Google privacy settings.
